Credibility matters first for electrical work

Electrical work involves safety, permits and licensing, so customers look harder for proof that a contractor is qualified. A homeowner planning a panel upgrade, a property manager looking for a commercial electrician and someone with a tripping breaker at 9 p.m. all want the same reassurance: this business is licensed, insured, local and responsive.

RATdeck builds websites for US electricians and electrical contractors that put that reassurance up front and make the next step, whether a call, quote request or booking, obvious on a phone.

What an electrician website should include

  • License and insurance information: your license number(s) and the states or jurisdictions you work in, displayed where customers look for them, including the footer and contact page.
  • Dedicated service pages: panel upgrades, rewiring, lighting, EV charger installation, generator installation, troubleshooting and repairs, and commercial services each on their own page, only for the services you offer.
  • Residential and commercial paths: homeowners and business clients ask different questions; the navigation should separate them.
  • Emergency service clarity: if you take urgent calls, state your hours and how to reach you. Safety guidance should be brief and point to calling a professional.
  • Quote-request forms that collect the right details: property type, the problem or project and photos where useful, without long forms that discourage inquiries.
  • Project photos and real reviews: your own work and authentic customer feedback, never stock images presented as projects.

Local SEO for electrical contractors

We align your site with your Google Business Profile, build service pages that match searches such as “EV charger installation” or “electrical panel upgrade” plus your service area, and keep your business details consistent across directories. For contractors who cover several towns, we create useful service-area content without duplicating the same page with a different city name.

Where it applies, we explain permit and inspection steps in general terms, so customers know what to expect, without giving legal or code advice on your behalf.

Handling inquiries efficiently

Electrical contractors often lose time on calls that are outside their service area or scope. Clear service pages, a service-area list and a structured quote form filter inquiries before they reach you. Where helpful, we connect forms to a lead log or CRM so every request has an owner and a follow-up date.

What to prepare for an electrician website project

  • Your license number(s), the jurisdictions they cover and insurance details.
  • A list of residential and commercial services, marking the ones you most want to grow.
  • Whether you take emergency calls, and your hours.
  • Service areas, including any towns you do not cover.
  • Photos of completed work (panels, lighting, EV chargers, generators) that you are allowed to publish.
  • Links to your existing Google Business Profile and review profiles.

With this in hand, we can build a site that answers the questions customers ask before calling, and reduce the calls you cannot take.

Pricing

Industry websites use the same published packages as every RATdeck project. Most owner-operated trades start with Business Builder (from $2,250) for a credible five-page site, or Local Growth (from $7,999) for up to ten pages with service and location templates and a local SEO foundation for one US service area. Search Ready (from $3,999) adds a strategy, sitemap, SEO audit and 90-day roadmap to a five-page site. See the pricing guide for exact inclusions.

Standard website projects are billed 50% when the agreement is signed and 50% after completion and your final approval. Hosting, paid plugins, fonts, stock media and other third-party costs are listed separately in the written proposal, so nothing is added without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

Should an electrician list their license number on the website?

Where your licensing authority allows or requires it, displaying your license number and the areas it covers is a strong trust signal. We place it where customers look for it.

Can you create a page for EV charger installation?

Yes. If you install EV chargers, a dedicated page explaining the process, typical site requirements and how to request a quote helps customers and search engines. We only create pages for services you actually provide.

Do you build sites for commercial electrical contractors?

Yes. Commercial sites usually emphasize project types, capabilities, safety practices and a clear route for bid or estimate requests.

Will you write the content?

Our packages assume you supply approved copy and technical details. We structure the pages and can quote original copywriting separately.

How much does an electrician website cost?

Electrician websites use our published packages: Business Builder from $2,250, Search Ready from $3,999 and Local Growth from $7,999. The proposal confirms the final scope and price.
