Our approach

Practical, measurable SEO

We audit the current site, prioritize the changes with the strongest rationale and document what was changed. Rankings and leads are never guaranteed.

  1. 01Discover the requirement and audience.
  2. 02Agree scope, milestones and review points.
  3. 03Create, test and hand over the approved work.

SEO that starts with what your customers actually search for

Search engine optimization for a service business is not about stuffing a city name into every paragraph. It is about making sure that when someone searches for the work you do, in the area you serve, Google can find a relevant, trustworthy page on your site, and that the page makes it easy to call or request a quote.

RATdeck provides practical SEO for US small businesses and local service companies. We focus on the fundamentals that search engines and customers both reward: accurate service information, clear page structure, technical health, consistent business details, useful content and measurement you can understand.

What our SEO work covers

Technical SEO audit

We crawl the site and review indexing, redirects, canonical tags, sitemaps, robots rules, page speed, mobile usability, broken links, duplicate or thin pages and structured data. Findings are prioritized by likely impact, not listed as a 200-item export.

Search intent and page mapping

Each important service gets a page that matches how people search for it. Overlapping pages that compete with each other are merged or redirected so your strongest page can rank.

On-page optimization

Titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text and content are improved for your priority pages, in plain language that still reads naturally to a customer.

Local SEO foundation

For businesses serving a defined area we align your website with your Google Business Profile, clarify service areas without creating thin doorway pages, check name, address and phone consistency, and support an honest review-request process.

Measurement

We set up or review Google Search Console and analytics so you can see which pages and queries bring visitors and which actions (calls, forms, bookings) follow.

Pricing and packages that include SEO

SEO is included at different depths in our website packages:

  • Google Maps Tune-Up, $349: a one-time Google Business Profile cleanup (categories, services, service areas, photos and two posts), a review link and QR card, a directory consistency check with a written fix list, and a before-and-after report. Credited toward a website bought within 30 days.
  • Starter Site, from $1,500: basic on-page SEO and LocalBusiness schema on a new five-page site, with GA4 and Search Console setup.
  • Lead-Ready Site, from $2,750: up to five service pages and two service-area pages, a Google Maps Tune-Up, a review kit and call and form click tracking.
  • Local Growth, from $4,500: everything in Lead-Ready on a site of up to 15 pages, with up to six service pages, up to five genuine service-area pages and the first 3 months of Website Care.

Ongoing SEO, content production and additional locations are separate scopes and are quoted individually. See the pricing guide for details.

What we do not do

We do not buy links, publish mass-produced city pages, promise a #1 position or sell “ChatGPT rankings.” These tactics can damage a site, and nobody controls Google’s results. Instead, we document each change, explain why it matters and review progress in Search Console together.

If your website itself is holding you back (slow, hard to use on a phone or missing service pages), SEO work will be more effective after a redesign or speed optimization. Our guides on local SEO for service businesses and aligning your Google Business Profile with your website explain the approach in more detail.

A typical 90-day SEO roadmap

  1. Weeks 1–2: technical audit, Search Console review and a priority list agreed with you.
  2. Weeks 3–6: fix indexing and technical issues, consolidate competing pages and optimize the five highest-value pages.
  3. Weeks 7–10: improve service and location content, internal linking and Google Business Profile alignment.
  4. Weeks 11–13: measure changes in impressions, clicks and inquiries, then plan the next quarter.

Timelines depend on site size and how quickly content can be approved; your proposal confirms the actual schedule.

Frequently asked questions

How long does SEO take to show results?

Technical fixes can be picked up within weeks, but meaningful ranking and traffic changes for competitive service keywords usually take several months. We track progress in Search Console so you can see what is changing.

Do you offer local SEO for one city or service area?

Yes. The Lead-Ready Site includes up to two genuine service-area pages and Local Growth up to five, both with a Google Maps Tune-Up. Additional locations are scoped separately to avoid thin, duplicated location pages.

Will you manage my Google Business Profile?

We align your website with your Google Business Profile and advise on categories, services and consistent details. Verification and ownership stay with you, because the profile belongs to your business.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. Anyone who guarantees a ranking is either misleading you or using risky tactics. We improve the factors you can control and report honestly on results.

Can you do SEO on a site you did not build?

Yes. We regularly audit and improve existing WordPress sites. If the platform or structure limits what SEO can achieve, we explain the trade-offs before recommending changes.
